Katherine Barrett, BSc (hons) MCSP, a HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist.  She is also a member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP) and DBS checked.

​She is a Highly Specialist Children's Physiotherapist who is dedicated to ensuring every child meets their potential.

​Katherine graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2003 with a 1st Class BSc(Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. She has worked in Paediatrics in the NHS for 17years.  She has a vast breadth of knowledge and expertise. She has worked in several hospitals including a large teaching hospital on both the Acute Children's Wards and on the Neonatal Unit.  She has also worked within many community settings including mainstream schools, nurseries, special schools and within clinics.

Katherine strongly advocates early intervention with a belief that there is no time like the present.  She is keen to work with families and eager to empower parents to find strategies that enable Physiotherapy to be incorporated into everyday life and play.

She is Bobath trained for the treatment of children with Cerebral Palsy. She has lectured on an undergraduate degree programme.  She is also a qualified Infant Massage & Infant Yoga Instructor.  She is confident at using baby signing/Makaton to enhance communication during her sessions.

​Katherine has two young children and is fully aware of the fun and challenges that family life can bring.
